HEALITE II – the very cool, very expensive LED light treatment machine we have at Beautiphi – is a Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT) device.
What a great name – Heal + Lite – and this is literally what this machine does – heal with LED light at very specific wavelengths. We probably all know of LED lighting by now, as it’s in our houses and cars, even on our Xmas trees, but perhaps not many of us know that certain wavelengths of LED light have been used to fast-track the healing of wounds and for treatment of post-surgery scars.
A surprising side effect of these medical treatments was that certain LED wavelengths were also found to rejuvenate healthy skin.
LED light is very different from laser light. The LED is a Light Emitting Diode, a computer chip encased in a glass-like resin, which emits therapeutic wavelengths (colours) of light energy.
How it works:
